1. Lay Off Social Media
Have you ever been having a great day where your emotions are balanced, and you’re vibing with everything and everybody?
Then you get on social media and see posts that take you through an emotional rollercoaster?
One post makes you cry, then the next one makes you laugh, and then you see one about politics, and now you’re angry.
Most of us are developing anxiety because of it! Just check out this article.
You have to protect your energy by taking a break from social media. A lot of content on Social Media reinforces your subconscious fears and will trigger you instead of helping you heal.
You may follow people and accounts that reflect our subconscious fear because they feel familiar.
As humans, we surround ourselves with content and people that validate our fears. That way we feel safer in our choice to avoid working through them.
To live without fear, you have to cut out the content that reinforces it. If you don’t you will be triggered all the time!

2. Brain Dump

This causes you to either find an unhealthy way to cope or keep that energy bottled up!
This can look like taking out your frustration on other people, falling back into old addictions and bad habits, or fear spiraling and catastrophizing.

3. Consult Your “I Know” List
This is my own personal technique for protecting your energy!
I LOVE it.
It helps me stay grounded and brings me back to reality when my fears try to deceive me.
I fill it with all types of things I have accomplished and know for a fact.
I can consult it when I’m feeling anxious or afraid and it serves as undeniable evidence that what I’m feeling isn’t reality.
Create a list of all the things in your life you know for sure. Make sure you do this when you’re feeling at peace with your emotions.
Make sure you add numerical evidence, data, or anything grounded in reality that is easy to believe.
Ex: I make good decisions. (Then list good decisions you’ve made recently.)

4. Ground Yourself
Grounding yourself is the act of getting out of your mind and into your body.
Typically when you feel anxious or afraid, it’s because you are spending too much time in your mind.
Grounding forces you to switch focus from the past and the future to focusing on the here and now.
Grounding yourself protects your energy because it creates a solid foundation within.
When we feel safe, we are better equipped to work through our fears.
A few ways to ground your energy

Carrying crystals is an increasingly popular way to protect your energy!
Crystals are trending now, but ancient civilizations have used them for thousands of years. You can use crystals as a tool to learn how to control and manipulate your energy.
They will also protect your energy field from any external sources!
You can seek out crystals with a specific meaning or pick the ones you feel the most drawn to.
Typically your intuition will lead you to the crystal you need most at the right time.

When energy gets stuck, our emotions tend to get stuck with it.
It is difficult to transmute your fears if your room is cluttered with the energy of the past week. (Or month/year depending on how you’ve been feeling).
Protect your energy by cleaning your house, decluttering, and donating things you no longer use. Most importantly, smudge!
