2021 has been a year of change, transformation, and readjusting to “normal” life during a global pandemic.

1. Make a Vision Board
The best way to transform your life in 2022 or in any year is to create a vision board. If you can only implement one of these steps, make it this one!
A vision board creates a place where you can see everything you’re aiming for in one condensed area. This helps to train your mind to see that the things you want are not out of reach.

Putting a board with all your goals and desires where you can see them every day will help you subconsciously make decisions that will bring your visions to fruition.
Go out to your local thrift store, buy old magazines and a poster board, and make one the old-fashioned way. Or even use Canva’s free software or Pinterest to create a vision board and set it as your lock screen wallpaper.
All of these are incredible ways to help your goals and manifestations materialize!
Last year in December of 2020, I made a vision board for my goals over the next 5 years.
I prefer the old-school physical vision board because it’s easier to add to overtime.
Many of the goals on my vision board I expected to be achieved within 5 years and just a year later so many of the things I put on my vision board have materialized in my life!
I even have developed and grown so much mentally and spiritually. As a result, the overall quality of my life is noticeably better!
Check out the YouTube video below to see how it went!
2. Set Monthly Intentions
Setting New Year Resolutions is so last year!
Kidding, but seriously.
On top of that New Year Resolution, start setting monthly intentions. Doing this will not only keep you consistently moving closer to your goals, but it also leaves room for you to see how much you’ve grown each month.
Maybe one month is dedicated to becoming more consistent with your work. By the time you set intentions for the next month, you’ll be able to see how well you’ve done and if you need to keep it up or if your focus should be on something else this month.
Give each month a different theme, and by the end of the year, you’ll be surprised how much influence you create over your life.
3. Follow Cell Phone Boundaries
We’re all addicted to our phones.
It’s like being sucked into a black hole if we don’t consciously make an effort to take a break.
Our cellphones can be a huge energy sucker and leave us feeling drained or with emotions that we didn’t have before. Most of us check our cell phones first thing in the morning and fill our brains with everyone else’s thoughts before we even have time to have any of our own!
This is why you need cell phone boundaries this year.
If you’re going to transform your life, you need to tap into your own thoughts and creative ability. And you can’t do that if everyone else’s is constantly being dumped on you!
Create rules for your cell phone so that you can consciously make an effort to spend less time on it and more time living your life!
Examples of cell phone boundaries include
- Placing your cell phone in a different room while you sleep.
- Not checking your cell phone right when you wake up.
- No screen time 2 hours before bed.
- Not scrolling social media while you eat.
- Limiting screen time hours per day.
- Completing to-do list items before checking social media.

4. Create a Morning Routine
Mornings are when we are at our peak energy, physically, spiritually, and creatively!
Well, they are after we get over this phase.
It is the best time for implementing new habits, mindfulness practices, and better lifestyle choices.
Your morning routine doesn’t need to look exactly like anyone else’s because doing what works best for you is the ultimate goal here!
But if you’re feeling like you have no idea where to start, you can check out my post on The 5 Minute Morning Routine to create a morning routine that’s not only mindful but super easy!

5. Move Your Body
Have you been feeling uninspired, unmotivated, or simply like your life is bland?
It’s probably because your energy is stuck!
You have to be intentional about your movement. There’s really no way around it.
Moving your body in any way will help you release stuck energy and make room for it to flow freely through you.
Add walks into your morning routine or create a whole workout routine!
Losing weight and gaining muscles are also benefits of moving your body daily. But no matter what your fitness goals are, prioritize moving your body this year.
I have a Pinterest board dedicated to movement in the mornings.

6. Find A Creative Outlet
Find an activity that makes you feel like an emerging artist!
You don’t have to be good at it, and you don’t have to find a way to monetize it.
Creating something from scratch is a surprisingly powerful way to transform your life because it reminds you that you are a creator!
The things that come from your brain, your hands, and your sacral space are all beautiful in their own way. The sacral chakra is the energy center in your body that houses all of your creative energy.
It is located below your belly button but above your tailbone. Get in touch with that this year and become inspired by your newfound powers of creation! You’ll start to apply it everywhere in your life.
My favorite creative outlet is painting by numbers. Because it’s low maintenance, and the pictures always come out great! I can have my own personal wine and paint night and feel like a creative goddess!
Lately, I’ve been pretty happy with the paint by numbers I find on Amazon from Baisite DIY.
7. Eat a Healthier Diet
Diet is essential when transforming the quality of life we want to live!
Make it your mission to eat more whole, natural foods, and less processed foods. The goal is to help your body function through food.
Even if you don’t follow a specific diet or lifestyle change, making the conscious effort to eat more organically can dramatically increase your quality of life!
The intent to eat healthier is the first step. But implementing small changes as the year goes on will leave you feeling like a brand new person by the end of the year!
If you’re looking to heal yourself through food, I recommend The Plant Paradox, Lectin-Free Diet. I chose to take on Dr. Gundry’s 6-week program to tame the inflammation in my body in 2021. It worked wonders for me!

Don’t forget to take plenty of pictures in 2022!
In most cases, by the end of a tough year like 2021, we tend to want to leave it all behind! But when you take photos of the joyous moments throughout the year it will remind you of just how great you’re doing!
