Time To Assemble Those Vision Board Ideas!
The world’s most successful people use visualization as a technique to make their dreams a reality.
Your brain is so powerful, which means working with it is essential when creating change in your life! .
Studies have even shown that visualizing before an athletic event increases performance.
This proves that nurturing the creative side of your brain can have a huge impact on what we can materialize in our life!
And what better way to do that than making that vision board you’ve been thinking about for years.
My friends and I LOVE Vision board nights! We even include wine, snacks, and a movie. I even framed my newest one to use as decor for my bedroom.

I highly recommend vision boards for people of all ages! Since I’ve been making them, my life has changed dramatically in just a little over a year.
But before you start, there are a few vision board ideas you should skip! Keep reading to make sure you’re not making any of these mistakes!
1. Avoid Including Goals For Other People.
If any of your vision board ideas have goals for other people to complete, you may need to reconsider!
Your vision board is for you and you alone.
Attempting to manifest anything that interferes with someone’s “free will” will set you up for disappointment.
With that being said, you can still have vision board ideas around cultivating healthier relationships.
For example, imagine you are in a relationship with a partner that doesn’t open up or express their feelings.
Your vision board shouldn’t have anything with the end goal of, “I need ____ to be open with me about all their feelings, all the time.” If any of the images, words, or phrases make you feel this way, it is time to do some redesigning!
Instead, your vision board ideas should look and feel more like,
“A relationship with open communication.”
Or,
“A relationship with communication without judgment.”
It’s important not to forget this because sometimes, certain people cannot give us the things we want. But that does not mean we can not have it!
We just have to find it elsewhere.
It can be a tough pill to swallow. Trust me!
I’ve experienced it myself.
On my vision board, I wanted to travel with my good friend. Along the way, our relationship hit a patch that we couldn’t really recover from.
So my plans, along with my vision board, needed some tweaking!
BUT, that did not stop me from traveling. It just looked a little different.

2. Don’t Include Anything You Feel Like You “Should Do”.
It is okay if you don’t feel drawn to the typical vision board ideas everyone else is using.
If you have no desire to go to the gym, diet, or change your body, you don’t have to add it.
Let go of the feeling that you need to add things to your vision board just cause it sounds good. Or just because someone else would approve if you accomplished it.
If you don’t want to get another degree, or climb the corporate ladder, leave it off!
Your vision board should provoke positive feelings, not apathy.
Your wants and desires are still valid even if the people around you don’t think so.
If you want to embrace slow living while everyone around you wants to go, go, go, that is okay!
In fact, make it the center of your vision board.
Because there is already so much resistance around you! Anything you are drawn to that is different from the norm is your soul begging you to embrace who you really are!
I recommend taking some alone time for about a day or so. Maybe take a day off of work and avoid social media.
Push your responsibilities to the side, and recognize what your body wants you to do.
Is your body calling you to rest and do some self-care? Or is your body begging for movement?
Take a little time to recognize what you feel intuitively pulled towards.

3. Leave Off Global and Community Problems.
I hate to be the one to tell you this, but if your vision board ideas involve global problems that would take massive adjustments to change, it’s probably best to leave those off.
I love that you are a freedom fighter, an advocate, and a lover of all people, but creating a vision board is about you.
This is your time to be selfish. I promise it won’t hurt.
While you can do your part to help these global and community problems, in the long run, the best way to help anyone else is to help yourself first.
Make sure that you are fulfilled and overflowing so that you can then fill up other people.
But if you really want vision board ideas that help you serve the community, try some of these.
We all want world peace and to end world hunger. But with these vision board ideas, you can fulfill yourself AND serve other people. Win-win.
- Volunteer.
- Create content/share your story.
- Donate money, clothes, & furniture.
- Offering free services to those in need.
- Become a more effective advocate.
4. Just Money.
I know, hear me out!
I’m not saying don’t add money.
But adding ONLY money may cause you to run into some problems.
Many of us have negative thought patterns around money.
If we didn’t, we would all be insanely rich!
The best way to create vision board ideas that increase your income is to always think of the end goal!
What would financial abundance do for you? This way, we can attach positive emotions to the idea, and boom! Your vision board is now working for you and your highest good.
Always add money to your vision board with the intention of rewiring your feelings around it.
Think of all the pleasant and exciting things you will do with the money. That way you move into a feeling of excitement rather than a feeling of lack and need.
You will also set yourself up for success when financial opportunities come around! And have a better chance of avoiding self-sabotage.

5. Anything That Makes You Feel Insecure!
If adding those “body goals” to your vision board makes you feel insecure rather than inspired, skip it!
Instead add goals for your body to feel its best, have better health, and be more mobile.
It is not fun to wake up every day to the imagery of a body type that provokes upsetting feelings.
In fact, it will have the opposite effect on what you are trying to create!
You can add vision board ideas that will help you reach your end goal, which you also feel good about.

- Don’t include vision board ideas that involve anyone’s free will.
